What is the ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE?
Beta Gamma Sigma was formed as a national scholastic honor society in 1913, to recognize and encourage scholarship and accomplishment in the field of business studies. Membership is restricted to those who have distinguished themselves as students at undergraduate and graduate schools of business and management, and have been inducted into a local chapter of the Society. In 2003 there were more than 495,000 members and 389 chapters in the United States, Canada and Hong Kong. Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni in New York City, chartered in 1965, was the first of what are now at least 16 alumni chapters of Beta Gamma Sigma located in major metropolitan areas of the United States.
