An Evening With Federal Reserve Bank of NY Regional Economist Jason Bram
Please join us on March 9th for an evening with Federal Reserve Board of NY Regional Economist Jason Bram. He has graciously offered to return to once again discuss where we are now and what may lie ahead for the Tri State Area's economy. Since the Fed’s Second District, which Jason covers, also includes Puerto Rico, Jason will be addressing the current state and prospects for that economically troubled area as well.
The event, sponsored by Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni in NYC, will include a networking reception over light refreshments and will be held at the Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., 200 Park Ave (The MetLife Building) - 24th Floor. Please note that registrations will close at close of business on March 8th and that DUE TO BUILDING SECURITY REQUIREMENTS NO LAST MINUTE REGISTRATIONS OR WALKINS CAN BE ACCOMODATED.

About our Speaker:
Jason Bram is a Research Officer with the Federal Reserve
Bank of New York’s Regional Analysis Function. He monitors and analyzes
economic trends in the Second District, comprising New York,
parts of New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as Puerto Rico and
the Virgin Islands. He participates in various advisory groups
for institutions such as New York City’s OMB. He co-directs the
NY Fed’s monthly Empire State and Business Leaders surveys,
designs topical questions and writes up monthly reports the
results. Mr. Bram has published numerous studies and blog posts
on the regional & local economy—NYC’s tech sector, the economic
impact of Sandy, as well as the 9/11 attacks, Puerto Rico’s
competitiveness, commuting patterns, the role of Wall Street,
new media, tourism, etc.—and has written on consumer confidence
as a national economic indicator. He also gathers intelligence
for and writes the periodic “Beige Book” report on the
District’s economy.
Mr. Bram joined the Federal
Reserve Bank of New York in 1995, after ten years at the
Conference Board as regional and consumer economist.
Mr. Bram holds a graduate degree from New York
University’s Stern School of Business and a B.A. in economics
from Columbia University.
