About The Speaker Don Berk is a communications consultant with an outstanding track record lecturing, coaching, writing, consulting, and implementing spoken, graphic, and multimedia communication strategies. His clients include global companies in IT, pharmaceutical, health, consumer packaged goods, publishing, and other industries. He also lectures, leads seminars and workshops, and coaches individuals to communicate effectively. Leaving a great impression takes training, but there’s no one way to speak effectively. Don’s skill is in making sure that your way fits your style. Only then can you be “yourself” — and your best self — whether on camera, live in front of thousands, or to a few colleagues. Don helps executives, salespeople, and scientists, among others, find their unique voices and communicate in an authentic, engaging, and persuasive manner so that those listening are persuaded to work toward a common goal, regardless of their individual agendas. Don developed his abilities as founder, writer, producer, and director of production companies in New York and Connecticut, where he created award-winning videos for such companies as IBM, GE, the Red Cross, Young & Rubicam, Deloitte, PaineWebber, P&G, Amgen, and the US Army, among others. Don’s videos were one of the key factors in selling over a billion dollars in limited partnerships and IPOs, and his coaching talent was behind the engaging on-camera performances of each company's spokesperson. Don further honed his coaching skills during seven years as creative director at Gartner, the world's leading IT research and advisory firm, and more recently directing communications for Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Don continues to consult with these companies and others. During off-hours, Don gives back to his community as a councilperson for Doylestown in Pennsylvania and is past president of the Bucks County Boroughs Association. He received his Bachelor of Science from Franklin & Marshall College and his M.A. from New York University.
