Introducing Dialogue for leaders and managers across the world: a benefit provided to you by Beta Gamma Sigma Alumni in NYC

In this age of globalization and diversity, no one individual, company or government has all the answers. The need is for different individuals, companies and governments, and their cultures and traditions, to learn from each other so they can better understand and resolve leadership challenges.

As a new member benefit, we are glad to announce BGS-NYC’s partnership with the new online journal Dialogue.

Dialogue focuses on key issues and challenges encountered by business leaders and managers around the world. The content of Dialogue covers a wide range of topics relevant to leaders in different management functions and geographic locations.

Highlights from the latest issue

The new issue of Dialogue focuses on Big Data and the promise and peril it brings for leaders in a world where change is accelerating and competition is intensifying, including comment and contributions from Google, American Express, Cisco and renowned business thinker Roger Martin.

Other features in Dialogue include:

In his first interview since the passing of his friend and colleague, Ahmed Kathrada former political adviser to the South African President tells Duke CE’s Sharmla Chetty what leaders can learn from the inspirational Nelson Mandela.

The 21st century brings a fresh conundrum: how can employers lead four generations in the workplace in a consumer market dominated by generation Y? Global business leaders debate the issue.

Cultural attitudes towards entrepreneurship and finding opportunities to raise capital are vital to launching a start-up business in growth markets, according to Laura Gonzales, professor of business at Fordham University and Diego García, finance director at pharmaceuticals giant Zoetis.

Indian telecommunications leader, Murthy Chaganti launches his series of viewpoints for Dialogue by asking how businesses can give themselves a chance to succeed in the rural parts of the sub continent– a vast and untapped global market.

Lisa Kaiser-Hickey, President of The International Alliance for Women, discusses the correlation between empowering women and GDP growth, as well as achieving gender equality.

Vlatka Hlupic, CEO of the Drucker Society London, argues that when leaders let go of power, they will end up getting more power back. More is achieved with less effort, employees become more innovative, profits increase and leaders can focus more on strategic activities.
